Finch’s repository on GitHub goes public when Finch launches, with every release tagged there.

The libraries Finch bundles

Finch’s builds bundle mpv, FFmpeg, libass, libplacebo, libdisplay-info and uchardet. mpv is built under the GPL (version 2 or later) and FFmpeg under the LGPL (version 2.1 or later), and both ask that their source be offered with them.

Each release on GitHub will carry the exact source archives of these libraries that its build used, beside Finch’s own source at that release. The links will appear here with the first release.

Licenses

Finch’s Licences help page lists the licenses of everything it bundles, including its Rust crates and fonts. Finch shows the same page inside the app.
